ANF foils attempt of smuggling at Lahore airport

LAHORE: The Anti Narcotics Force deputed at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday has foiled an attempt of smuggling of narcotics.

Sources told Customs Today that anti narcotics force at Lahore airport during routine work intercepted a passenger Mohammad Shafi and found 3 kilo gram of heroin hidden in his luggage in very technical way.

On finding heroin in luggage ANF arrested passenger Muhammad Shafi who is a resident of Sheikhpura.  The market value of seized heroin is more than Rs 30 million in international market. Passenger was travelling from Lahore to Jeddah with his family and his age is 55 years. Sources said that Shafi was going to perform Umrah by PIA flight no: PK-306.

ANF has shifted the accused to unknown place for further investigation and prosecution.
