LAHORE: The Anti Narcotics Force claimed to foil an attempt to smuggle heroin from Lahore to Saudi Arabia.
According to sources of Customs Today anti narcotics officials during routine checking intercepted a passenger and recovered 1.5 kilograms heroin from his luggage. The heroin was hidden in secret pockets of the bag. Sources told that accused who was later identified as Muhammad Shahid belonged to Sargodha and he was traveling for Riyadh of Saudi Arabia.
Sources told that market value of recovered heroin is Rs 150 million in international market. ANF authorities has arrested the accused and shifted him to unknown place for further investigation and prosecution. ANF has also registered a case against the accused as well.
