ANF foils bid to smuggle heroin to Sharjah, arrests suspect

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has foiled an attempt of smuggling heroin to Sharjah, UAE, from Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad and arrested the accused on the spot.

The ANF recovered 100 capsules from the stomach of a passenger, Mujahid Khan.

Sources added that ANF team during checking process of passengers of a private airlines inquired from the accused as the team became doubted on his activities. During investigations, the accused confessed that he had eaten 100 capsule full of high quality heroin on which the team transferred him to Benazir Hospital Islamabad where the doctor recovered 100 capsule full of heroin.

The ANF team arrested the accused and registered a smuggling case against him. The ANF sources said that the accused want to smuggle heroin to Sharjah.
