SIALKOT: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a major attempt of smuggling heroin from Sialkot International Airport to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia here and arrested the suspected smuggler.
According to the management of Sialkot International Airport, a Khushab based accused smuggler Tanveer Abbas was trying to smuggle heroin from Sialkot to Jeddah while travelling through the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
ANF officials found as many as half kg fine quality heroin which was secretly kept in the clay-made flower pots during the special scanning and checking. The worth of the seized heroin was stated to be millions of rupees at international market.
The senior ANF officials revealed that ANF has arrested the accused and sent him behind the bars after registering a case against him.
