ANF foils heroin smuggling bid at Sialkot airport

SIALKOT: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a heroin smuggling bid at Sialkot international airport and arrested the accused smuggler, besides, seizing 1200 grams heroin from his possession.

According to the management of the Sialkot International Airport, a Lahore based accused Riaz was trying to smuggle heroin to Dubai by travelling through an Emirates Airlines in the guise of a passenger. The ANF officials on suspicion checked his luggage and recovered the 1200 grams heroin, secretly kept in the hidden parts of his bags. The worth of the seized heroin was valued at millions of rupees.

ANF has arrested the accused and sent him behind the bars after registering a case against him. Further investigations are underway, in this regard.

It was the fourth major attempt of narcotics smuggling from Sialkot airport to the different foreign destinations during the running month, which foiled by the ANF here.
