ANF foils heroin smuggling bid

SIALKOT: Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) on Tuesday foiled a bid to smuggle heroin worth millions of rupees abroad and arrested a man at Sialkot International Airport.

Official sources said that, a drug smuggler Fayyaz Ghuman was scheduled to fly for Athens by Qatar Airways QR-631. The ANF officials intercepted Fayyaz at the airport and recovered 1.985 kg heroin from hidden sections of his travelling bag.

He said that ANF officials were investigating Fayyaz about his local network.During preliminary investigation, it was learnt that he belonged to Wazirabad and travelled abroad frequently. The ANF registered a case and started further investigation.
