ANF foils smuggling bid, seizes 237kg hashish

MULTAN: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) team has thwarted an attempt of smuggling 237kg hashish worth millions of rupees and arrested two drug traffickers.

The ANF authorities, on a tip-off, formed a team led by Inspector Mushtaq to carry out special operation. The team stopped a Shehzore truck on Motorway Bypass Khanewal Road and found 237kg hashish, concealed in the vehicle. After preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the drug was being smuggled from Peshawar to Sindh. One of the accused has been identified as Willayat and Zahir Shah. A case has been registered and the accused drug traffickers were taken into judicial custody for further investigation.
