ANF Peshawar recovers huge quantity of narcotics

PESHAWAR: Anti Narcotics Force Peshawar during routine checking arrested three persons and recovered three kilogram of heroine and 21.6 kilogram of chars.

The first crackdown was launched on Bittani Abad, Tank Road, D.I. Khan, when police stopped a passenger bus checking and arrested a suspected person Hizar Hayat resident of D.I. Khan along with recovery of 1 kilogram of heroin from his personal possession.

Separately on tip of information, ANF Peshawar intercepted a consignment at Daewoo Bus Terminal, Peshawar and recovered 2 kilogram of heroin concealed inside the suitcase. The consignment was booked by accused namely Arif, a resident of Peshawar.

In another raid ANF Peshawar Road Check Team on pursuance of source information, captured a Toyota Hiace near New Toll Plaza, Indus Highway Kohat.

During detailed search of the vehicle resulted in recovery of 21.6 kilogram of  charas, which was concealed inside the roof surface of the vehicle. An occupant of the vehicle, a resident of Orakzai Agency, named Seen Asghar was also arrested during the operation.

Likewise another road checking crackdown near Burhan Motorway Interchange, GT Road, Attock ANF arrested a person, Mehran Afzal, who is a resident of Khyber Agency along with recovery of two kilograms of charas concealed in his luggage.

As per initial information, the accused is involved in transportation of drugs from KPK to Punjab for local consumption.

Further investigations are in progress.
