ANF recovers 11.4kg heroin, 107kg hashish in countrywide raids

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) has recovered 118kg drugs, including 11.4kg heroin and 107kg hashish and arrested six alleged drug traffickers besides impounding a vehicle during the countrywide raids.

The Karachi ANF team, on pursuance of information, raided a house situated in Pakhtoonabad Manghoo Peer and seized 100kg hashish. An accused, namely Sabir Khan, was also apprehended during the operation. As per initial reports, the place was being used as a narcotics den.

The Rawalpindi ANF captured a mini truck registered No LWN-2876 near Tarnol, GT Road. The search of the truck led to seizure of 4kg heroin and 6kg hashish. Two persons on board identified as Alam Zeb, resident of Chakwal, and Rizwan, resident of Nowshera, were taken into custody.

The ANF, while carrying out an operation in Dera Ghazi Khan, held two local drug suppliers namely Fahim and Muhammad Hanif along with 4.4kg heroin and 1kg hashish.

The ANF airport team detained a passenger named Sharjeel Ahmed, resident of Mandi Bahauddin, at Peshawar Airport and recovered 3kg heroin hidden in his trolley bag. The accused was scheduled to board on Qatar Airline for Doha.

All the cases have been registered at the respective ANF police stations and further investigations are underway.
