ANF recovers 15.6kg drugs, arrests 20 in raids across country

KARACHI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 15.6 kilograms of drugs during different raids in several educational institutions, arresting 20 suspects across the country.

The source informed Customs Today that the arrested suspects used to sell the drugs to the students of schools, colleges and universities.

According to the details, the ANF teams carried out several raids in different cities of the country and recovered 15.6 kilogram drugs being sold in different educational institutions.

The teams conducted eight raids in Peshawar, four in Rawalpindi, four in Lahore. The raids were also conducted in Jhelum, Multan, Karachi and Quetta during which a huge quantity of drugs was recovered.

The recovered drugs included 15 kilogram of hashish and 610 grams of heroin which worth million of rupees in international markets. During the raids across the country 20 suspects have been busted and cases have been registered against them following the Anti Narcotics Act 1997.

The staff of the Anti Narcotics Force will also be chasing the master minds who distributes the drugs to their agents and will brought them to the Justices. The investigations from the apprehended culprits are underway.
