ANF recovers 19.6 ton drugs from various cities in a day

KARACHI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 19.6 tons of different forms of drugs worth billions of rupees and arrested 19 drug pushers and smugglers in 20 raids during a nationwide campaign on Sunday.

According to details, sources informed Customs Today that informers shared some vital information with the Anti-Narcotics Force. Acting on the information, raids were carried out against the smugglers in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore, Faisalabad and some other cities.

The forms of drugs recovered include 14.4 ton hashish, 3.2 ton heroin and 2 ton Afetamin, sources informed.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) impounded four non-duty paid vehicles across the country. Cases against the arrested accused have been lodged and further investigations are underway. The higher authorities, expressing satisfaction over the performance of the officers, have appreciated the Anti- Narcotics Force (ANF) team.
