ANF recovers 241 Kgs narcotics in different raids

LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 241 kilograms narcotics in different operations and arrested two persons with seizure of a vehicle.

As per details, the ANF seized 180 kilograms opium, 61 kilograms hashish and 375 grams heroin in six operations carried out across the country. The ANF Rawalpindi Road Check Team recovered 2 kilograms hashish from personal possession of a drug carrier, Arman Shah, hailing from Peshawar, who was arrested from Sohawa Bus Stop, G.T Road, Jhelum. Reportedly, the accused came to the place for delivery of drug to some local peddler.

ANF Lahore Road Check Team while intercepting a single cabin Hilux vehicle near Namal College, Talagang-Mianwali Road, Mianwali, recovered 43.2 kilograms hashish on search of the vehicle. The drug was contained in improvised cavities of the vehicle. However, the person onboard managed to escape from the scene, taking advantage of the darkness.

ANF Karachi has seized a courier parcel from a Courier Service Office, Karachi and recovered 375 grams heroin concealed in books packed inside the parcel. All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations and further investigation is underway.
