ANF recovers hashish, charas in several incidents

LAHORE: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), while intercepting a Honda Citi car near Babu Sabu Motorway Toll Plaza, Lahore recovered 66 kilograms of hashish from the secret cavities of the vehicle.

Two persons namely Rasheed Ahmad, a resident of Rawalpindi and Muhammad Riaz, resident of Vehari, were apprehended on the spot.

In another operation, the ANF team, while intercepting a Suzuki Mehran car at Thokar Niaz Baig, recovered 3.6 kilograms of hashish from possession of three persons on board, who were identified as Khyber Khan, Tariq Khan and Aziz-ur-Rehman, all residents of Peshawar.

Yet in another operation, ANF road check team detained a lady drug carrier namely Khushnuma Bibi hailing from district Mardan, and recovered 1.2 kilograms hashish from her personal possession. The accused was arrested at Sambrial, GT Road, Sialkot while travelling in a passenger bus.

ANF intercepted a vehicle Bolan Carry at Thokar Niaz Baig Interchange and recovered 10.8 kilograms of charas and 9.6 kilograms of opium. Charas was packed in 9 packets of 1.2 kilograms each, while opium was packed in 8 packets of 1.2 kilograms each and all drugs were concealed in secret cavities of the vehicle.

Two persons in car were arrested at the spot, while another two have been arrested on their pointation from Lahore.
