ANF recovers heroin from parcels booked for UK, Bahrain

KARACHI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) raided the offices of various courier companies in Karachi and recovered heroin from parcels booked for UK and Bahrain. During the operation in Murtaza Chowrangi and Sohrab Goth, three accused were arrested and hashish was recovered.

According to the ANF spokesperson, 1400 grams of heroin was recovered from two parcels booked for the UK. The drugs were expertly hidden in cardboard boxes.

In another operation, 970 grams of ice was recovered from a parcel booked for Bahrain. The ice in the parcel was hidden in women s shoes, while 72 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of accused Bilal and Aziz at Murtaza Chowrangi.

During the operation in Sohrab Goth, 3 kg of hashish was recovered from accused Zia. The arrested accused Zia is an operative of inter-provincial gang. Cases of drug trafficking have been registered and further investigations are underway.
