ANF recovers huge quantity of narcotics, arrests 10 persons

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested 10 persons during various operation carried out in different areas of Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while recovering a huge catch of narcotics.

In the first incident, the ANF Peshawar arrested a person namely Hazarat Ali, a resident of Khyber Agency near Sheno Pump, Faqirabad, and recovered 10 kilograms of hashish from his possession.

In another operation, the ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki pickup near Karkhano Market, Jamrud Road, and recovered six kilograms of hashish concealed in it. The accused Sarfraz Khan, a resident of Peshawar has been arrested on the spot.

In third operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota car near New Toll Plaza, Indus Highway, Kohat and recovered 1.2 kilogram hashish, concealed inside the secret cavities of the vehicle. Two  occupants of the vehicle namely Hasnain and Fakhr-e-Alam both resident of Kohat were arrested.

In fourth operation, ANF authorities during routine checking at Main Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar arrested two persons from a Hiace and recovered 2 kilograms of hashish from personal possession of Gulzada and Munwar Khan both are resident of Peshawar.

During fifth operation near Rashkai Interchange, Nowshera, ANF Peshawar arrested four local drug peddlers including three ladies from a passenger Hiace and recovered 3.6 Kg Opium and 6 Kg Heroin from their personal possession. The persons arrested have been identified as Zarshata, Khursheed, Niaz Parwara and Manha resident of Upper Dir and Charsadda.

In sixth  operation, ANF recovered 2.5 kilograms of heroin from personal possession of a lady drug peddler namely Shazia resident of Peshawar, travelling in a Hiace (passenger vehicle) near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar.

In separate  operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Mehran car near Rawalpindi Road, Kohat and recovered 1.2 kilograms of hashish from personal possession of an accused namely Gul Hassan resident of Kohat.

In another operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Hiace at Haripur Road and recovered 4.800 kilograms of hashish from two accused namely Aurangzeb and Rabnawaz both resident Upper Dir.

In separate operation, RD ANF Peshawar intercepted Suzuki Mehran car near Motorway Toll Plaza Peshawar and recovered 3.500 kilograms of hashish and accused Abdullah Shah resident Peshawar was arrested.

In last operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 1 kilogram heroin from personal possession of a lady accused namely Farhat Bibi resident Peshawar near Karkhano Phatak, Jamrud Road, Peshawar.
