ANF seizes 1kg heroin at Faisalabad airport

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Faisalabad has seized one kilogramme of heroin during an action at Faisalabad International Airport.

The ANF person confirmed that a person from Mandi Bahuddin intended to travel to UAE on an international airline.

During the checking of the luggage, the personnel deployed at the airport recovered 1kg heroin in the luggage of the passenger identified as Pervaiz Ahmed. The ANF officials said that the value of sized heroin is Rs 1 millions in international market.

After finding the contraband, Pervaiz Ahmed was arrested by the ANF and shifted the accused at unknown place for further legal action and prosecution.

ANF staff has also wanted to install a new scanner machine at Faisalabad airport to stop smuggling of any kind of narcotics.
