Peshawar: ANF seizes 2.4kg heroin, 2.8kg charas

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) seized 2.8 kilogrammes of charas and 2.4kg heroin worth millions of rupees in the international market, and arrested five men during two operations in Peshawar.

Anti-Narcotics Force Peshawar spokesman Syed Ahmad told Customs Today that the force during an information-based operation intercepted a Toyota GLI car bearing registered number ASG-885 Sindh near Pishta Khara Chowk, Peshawar, and recovered 2.8kg charas.

Four individuals onboard namely Ubaidullah, Samiullah, Amir Muhammad Khan and Abdul Wali, all residents of Buner, were taken into custody on the spot. Cases have been registered at the respective ANF police station and further investigation is underway.

In another operation, the ANF’s patrol team during search of a Rawalpindi-bound Toyota HiAce vehicle at the motorway toll plaza, Peshawar, held a suspect passenger namely Jalil Khan, a resident of Khyber Agency, and recovered 2.4kg heroin concealed in his luggage. As per the reports, he intended to deliver the drug to some local drug dealer in Rawalpindi.
