PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a bid to smuggle drugs and recovered three kilogrammes of charas and 2 kilogrammes of heroin worth millions of rupees.
The ANF conducted various operations against drug traffickers near the tribal areas on a tip-off.
Acting on the information, Anti-Narcotics Force personnel signalled a vehicle to stop near Jamrud Road Peshawar and recovered two kilos of heroin worth hundreds of thousands of rupees while searching the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the ANF officials claimed to have recovered three kilos of charas in separate operations, conducted in Haripur and Mansehra. The ANF has also arrested four accused during the operation for their involvement in smuggling activities.
