Alleged smuggler killed in shootout with ANF, another arrested

ISLAMABAD: A smuggler was shot dead while other was arrested by Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) during an encounter near Chach Interchange in Attock city.

According to sources, the ANF received an information that some smugglers making attempt to smuggle cloths and drugs from Peshawar to Rawalpindi.

After receiving the information, the ANF team intercepted a car near Chach Interchange for checking process. The driver ignored the signal of ANF team. The ANF team followed the car, but the smugglers start firing on team  during encounter a smuggler named Abdul Qayyum was shot dead while the other smuggler named Haris was arrested by the ANF team.

The sources added that during checking process of the car smuggled clothes, drugs including hashish and aphuine was recovered. The sources said that the smugglers want to smuggled these goods to other cities of the country from Peshawar.
