LAHORE: The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics sentenced a culprit to two years imprisonment and impose a penalty as his crime proved.
According to details, Nadeem Arshad was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Force in 2014 when he was travelling from Peshawar to Lahore via bus. The ANF on intelligence information checked the passengers of that bus and found a heavy quantity of heroin in the possession of Nadeem Arshad. The Anti-Narcotics Force arrested him and started investigations against the accused.
Now, after his trial, the court has sent him to jail for two years and also imposed a penalty of Rs 20,000. In case of failure in payment of fine, he may face more jail imprisonment as well.
The ANF presented a complete challan before the court after the recovery of four kilogrammes of heroin from his possession. The heroin recovered from him was of fine grade and hence very costly.
