Anti-Smuggling Organisation seizes smuggled goods worth Rs 6.8m in April 2015

MULTAN:  The Anti-Smuggling Organisation has seized the smuggled goods of Rs 6.8 million during April 2015 in the various anti-smuggling operations.

Anti-Smuggling Organization has done different operations against seized goods and the smuggled vehicles in April.  Anti-Smuggling Organization has captured and seized five vehicles during various operations in the jurisdiction of MCC Multan in April.

Different checkpoints and special teams were formed to curb the smuggling of vehicles in the region of South Punjab through different hidden routes. Four smuggled vehicles from the different locations of MCC Multan was captured and seized during various operations. The smuggled vehicles include Suzuki Alto, Toyota Raum, Toyota Corolla, and Toyota Hiace Van. The total worth of the four smuggled vehicles by the Anti-Smuggling Organization was almost Rs.4 million.

Three smuggled heavy bikes of different brands including Suzuki, BMW heavy bikes during the anti-smuggling operations were also captured by the Anti-Smuggling Organization during April. The worth of the three seized bikes was almost Rs.1.15 million.

The other smuggled goods were included smuggled tyrs, Smuggled match crackers of 300 packets, base oil in the quantity of 1850 kilograms and art silk cloth of 4904 yards. Anti-Smuggling Organization has formed the 11 seizure cases in April during different operations. Anti-smuggling Organization has also done few joint operations along with Customs Intelligence and Investigation in which millions of smuggled goods were seized in April.
