Anti-Smuggling Organization Faisalabad confiscates different items

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization Faisalabad seized various goods valued at Rs4million in the second week of December.

The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization confiscated miscellaneous items involving duties and taxes of Rs2.1million in different operations during the second week of December Fiscal Year 217-18.

3,000 Iran-bound containers stranded at Karachi port as Hormuz tensions disrupt shipping

Sources told Customs Today that, under the supervision of Assistant Collector Shah Samad Hamadani, the ASO team conducted various raids on the smugglers to curb the illegal business.

The ASO team, participating in these seizure operations, consisted of Superintendent Ch Muhammad Sardar, Inspector Umar Bhatti, Faizi Raza, Munir Ahmed and Sepoys Muhammad Ashraf, Liaqat Ali, Israr Ahmad and Muhammad Abdullah.

Meanwhile, ASO Mianwali team impounded a Toyota corolla car bearing registration No: UJ-799 worth Rs700000, Toyota Premo No: LT-313 valued at Rs600000, ASO Faisalabad took into possession Toyota corolla car No: LEH-17-4457, ASO Sargodha did Toyota Hilux Surf No: PAA-374 priced at Rs800000 and other miscellaneous items worth Rs1.3million.

The ASO seized goods with section contravened of Import and Export Control Act-1950 punishable under Section 156(i) 89(i) and 90 of the Custom Act-1969 and forwarded the cases to the Customs Adjudication for further proceedings.
