APBF says SMEs must be given finance, logistics support

KARACHI: All Pakistan Business Forum (APBF) President Muhammad Ibrahim Qureshi has said that the country’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector needs proper financial facilitation and friendly policies’ support.

The government and the financial institutions respectively are more inclined towards the large scale business set-ups and industrial units, said Ibrahim Qureshi in a statement. He said SMEs face similar situation regarding microfinance and the foreign investors. On the contrary, it is evident from the economic development history of big economies around the world that the economic well-being and strengthening has resulted from the progressive development of SME sector in their countries.
