ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Revenue and Economic Affairs Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh presided over a meeting regarding imposition of fuel price adjustment on tube wells.
The meeting was also attended by Federal Minister for Energy Umer Ayub Khan, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Makhdoom Khusro Bukhtiar. The participants of the meeting reviewed in detail different proposals to promote agriculture and smooth water supply through water reservoir. The participants were apprised that from January 1, 2019 agriculture tube wells will be supplied electricity at the fixed rate of Rs5.35 per unit and Rs10.35 per unit will be charged for packed hours.
It is necessary to mention here that from November 2011 federal government is paying 40 percent of total electricity bill of Balochistan and government is already extended this period till December 31, 2019.
