LAHORE: The Customs Appellant Tribunal Lahore has rejected an appeal by Khawaja Electronics pertaining to the seizure of consignment and upheld the decision of the adjudication collector.
As per details, the consignment was seized by Customs Intelligence and Investigation at Mughalpura Dry Port Lahore due to the tax evasion and later seizure report was presented before Customs Adjudication collector where the court announced the seizure legal.
Afterward, Khawaja Electronics challenged the order of Customs Adjudication collector in tribunal. Tribunal Judge Ghulam Murtaza Bhatti upheld the decision of the Adjudication collector and said that impugned goods having width 620mm not covered within ambit, adding that captors’ grade BOPP film has been categorized bearing the size as 30mm to 100mm in said terms.
