NEW YORK: In about a month Apple is going to release its latest operating system update—iOS 9—which is apparently also going by the name of “Golden Master.” Of course, the new version of the operating system will come with several new features and among those the biggest include a way to multitask using the iPad Air. While this feature is already available on the device (double tap the home key to switch between two applications) the iOS 9 update allows you to put two applications on the screen at the same time, allowing users to drag information between them.
This, of course, is a great strategy for improving productivity and it is a very helpful option for presentations or for any time you need to be able to switch quickly between apps. Concurrently, the new Apple iOS 9 will come with a stack view option that helps to switch between the apps faster; basically an updated, more efficient version of the “double tap home key” option from before.
But function is not the only upgrade this update offers. Along with efficiency, the new iOS 9 will provide a higher degree of security as well. For example, instead of a four-digit pass code you will need a six-digit one which means you can either use the code or your touch ID to unlock the device.
In addition to releasing the new mobile update (iOS 9) it appears that Apple wants to also release a new Mac OS update too. This will be known as Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11. While it is still in the beta phase, this update should help to address the many issues presented with both iOS 8 and with Mac OX X Yosemite.
