NEW YORK: Just over a week since Apple had made the latest update to their mobile operating available to the public. It came with a few upgrades and changes that were a welcome addition to the already feature packed new operating system.
The iOS 9.1 was sent out to the public to the delight of Apple device users everywhere, and now, the tech giant is apparently already busy creating the next new update, the iOS 9.2.
Apple has just released the first ever public beta for the iOS 9.2 operating system over the weekend. Developers had however gotten their copy first a few days before the beta had gone public. There isn’t yet a lot of information regarding the changes the new update will include but seeing as that it is just minor update, users shouldn’t expect a load of changes within the main operating system.
What is clear for now, on the new things included in the new iOS build, is that it now allows users to enable extensions within Safari even when the browser is working with third party apps. Simply put, users may now use the browser’s extensions when using the browser within other apps. Aside from this, the new build should contain other bug fixes and minor upgrades as well.
The iOS 9.2 public beta has been made available to everyone who has signed up for Apple’s beta program. They will be able to install the beta over the air on their iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device. Be warned though, as those who will upgrade to the new operating system build will not be able to revert back to the older version.
Those who have yet to update to iOS 9.1, the latest publicly available operating system build contained numerous bug fixes and a few changes to the software itsel, including the addition of 150 new emojis as well as support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0 emojis.
Upgrades were also made to the operating system’s Live Photo feature, which actively senses when a user raises or lowers the phone and cuts recording if it detects the movement.
