SAN FRANCISCO: Apple just launched the beta of iOS 8.4 so that it could be tested. The beta version is accessible from the iOS Developer Center for those interested in downloading it. iOS 8.4 comes with a overhaul of a Music app which also includes a major design update , features such as “Now Playing” , “recently Added“ and so on. With all of these new elements and sharp format, listening to good quality music has never been so effortless

One of the major additions in the OS beta version is the arrival of the company’s new Music app, reported Techno Buffalo. While the update targets a better user experience, what is noticeable from the beginning is the app’s “all-new design.”

According to the Tim Cook-led firm, the revamped design’s objective is to allow users’ exploration of the app “easier and more fun.” It went on to explain that the new Music app style allows for user customization.

“Personalize playlists by adding your own image and description,” said the tech firm. “Enjoy stunning pictures of your favorite artists in the Artists view. Start playing an album right from the album list. The music you love is never more than a tap away,” Apple further explained.

For users who want to look back at the music or songs last played, the recent playlists and albums would appear on top of the music library for easier access, said What Hi-Fi.

On top of the new design, the app also gets a MiniPlayer on-screen that would allow users to listen to their music while they scour the list and collection of songs in their gadget.

Even the iTunes Radio got an upgrade. A new “Featured Stations” option was added, which allows the stations recently tuned into to be categorized under this for users to quickly and easily check back in. This would also come up on top of the music library.

However, iTunes Radio is now only available in the United States and Australia. The company has not made any statement if this feature would soon be available in other regions.

As iOS 8.4 is still a beta version, it has not been released to the public yet. However, select developers in the firm’s beta program are allowed to test it out. As such, it is not an assurance that all the features mentioned above would make the cut once the final version is launched.

No exact date for its release has been confirmed. However, reports have speculated that a summer 2015 release in time for Apple’s new music streaming service might be targeted, which is due for launch in WWDC 2015 this June, said Gotta Be Mobile.
