LONDON: Apple Inc uped the ante with the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The latter was a first for Apple as it proved the company was ready to compete in the phablet market. Both phones got a size boost: the iPhone 6 measured at 4.7 inches and the iPhone 6 Plus measured at 5.5 inches. It took awhile for the Cupertino-based tech giant to embrace what its Android rivals knew for a long time time- that bigger is sometimes better.
A more recent report indicates Apple will soon launch the iPhone 6S and it will be in the phone’s original size. This latest rumor, which also dubbed the reported device iPhone 6 Mini, came from Cowen & Company analyst Tim Arcuri. He reports the device will come with the same advanced features of iPhone 6 and curved edge design as the iPhone 5S. This rumored device could replace the iPhone 5C as the budget-friendly Apple phone.
