NEW YORK: Apple’s new iPhone 6S will come with Force Touch, a technology the company has introduced in the Apple Watch.
Bloomberg reported the development and said that the new iPhones will have the same 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen and design like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Force Touch as a feature can sense the difference between a tap and a press to access controls within apps on the Apple Watch.
Earlier a report on Forbes quoted KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo as saying that the iPhone 6S will have Force Touch and that the phone will be “0.2mm thicker, 0.15mm taller and fractionally wider than the iPhone 6.”
Kuo’s note on the iPhone 6S also added that the colours of the new iPhone will be closer to the Apple Watch options. A rose gold, a darker space grey iPhone 6S is what users should expect. Finally Kuo’s note added that the biggest change in terms of design will be the use of a new “grade of aluminium” which will help make the phone stronger. Apple is expected to release the new iPhone 6S devices in September along with iOS 9 which is the new OS for the phones. Apple will also be releasing iOS 8.4 tomorrow night which will bring with it Apple Music, the new music-streaming service to over 100 countries.
