Appraisement East collects Rs 24.383b taxes/duties in December

KARACHI: Customs Collectorate Appraisement East has collected at least Rs 24.383 billion taxes/duties under various heads during the month of December 2015 against the set target of Rs 20.534 million.

According to statistics available with Customs Today,  Customs Appraisement East collected Rs 8,404 million under the head of customs duty, Rs 11,788 million under the head of sales tax, Rs 4,124 million as income tax and Rs 67 million under head of federal excise duty in December 2015.

Significantly, Customs Appraisement East collected Rs 1,903 million on the last working day of December 2015 i.e. December 31 that include Rs 770 million under the head of customs duty; Rs 836 million under head of sales tax; Rs 294 million as income tax and Rs 2 million as federal excise duty

At all, Customs Appraisement East has so far collected Rs 152,516 million taxes/duties since August 1 to December 31, 2015 that include Rs 46,457 million under head of customs duty; Rs 79,873 million as sales tax; Rs 25,463 million as income tax and Rs 723 million under head of federal excise duty.
