Appraisement-East collects Rs 3.18 billion during 9 days of Oct

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement-East collected Rs 3,189 million during the first nine days of October.

Though the Appraisement-East managed to achieve just 53 percent of Rs 6.06 billion target during the first nine days it has exceeded the cumulative July, August, September plus nine October days target of Rs 54.86 billion by three percent.

Of the Rs 3.18 billion revenue collected by the collectorate during October 1-9, Rs 789 million was collected under the heads of customs duty, Rs 1,783 million sales tax, Rs 603 million withholding tax and Rs 13 million federal excise duty. It managed to achieve 51 percent of the allocated customs duty target; 52 percent sales tax target; 57 percent withholding tax target and 25 percent of the federal excise duty target.

The collectorate has collected cumulative revenue of Rs 56.34 billion from July 1 to October 9 this year to exceed the cumulative target of Rs 54.86 billion for the same period. Of the Rs 56.34 billion collected during July 1 to October 9, Rs 15.41 billion was collected under the head of customs duty, Rs 30.35 billion in sales tax, Rs 10.21 billion in withholding tax and Rs 348 million federal excise duty.

The collectorate has been allocated a target of collecting Rs 206.061 billion during the current fiscal ending June 30, 2015 Rs 56.343 billion has already been collected during July 1 to October 9. It is also been allocated Rs 18,813.41 million collection target this month given a target of Rs 18,813.41 million of which Rs 15,624.41 million got to be achieved during the remaining 22 days of this month.
