Appraisement-East collects Rs 52.946 billion in third quarter of 2014-15

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Appraisement-East has collected Rs 52.946 billion during the third quarter (Jan-March) of the current fiscal year (FY) 2014-15 under the heads of customs duty (CD), sales tax (ST), income tax (IT) and federal excise duty (FED) against its set target of Rs 53.342 billion with a shortfall of Rs 396 million.

According to revenue statistics, the collectorate collected Rs 17.429 billion in March 2015 against the set target of Rs 18.185 billion with the shortfall of Rs 756.64 million.

The collectorate has collected Rs 5.564 billion in share of customs duty against its target of Rs 5.477 billion with an increase of Rs 87.64 million.

The Appraisement-East collected a sum of Rs 9.011 billion as sales tax during March 2015 against the set target of Rs 10.10 billion with a shortfall of Rs 1.089 billion.

The collectorate collected an amount of Rs 2.685 billion in wake of income tax in March 2015 against the set target of Rs 2.401 billion with an increase of Rs 283.71 million.

The Appraisement-East collected Rs 167.98 million as federal excise duty in March 15 against the set target of Rs 206.96 million with a shortfall of Rs 38.98 million.

Similarly, Appraisement-East collected Rs 17.631 billion in February 2015 against the set target of Rs 16.164 billion and surpassed the revenue target by Rs 1.466 billion.

The collectorate collected Rs 5.384 billion as customs duty against the set target of Rs 4.962 billion during February 2015 with an increase of Rs 422.72 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 9.244 billion in share of sales tax against the set target of Rs 8.799 billion with an increase of Rs 445.13 million.

The Appraisement-East collected Rs 2.914 billion as income tax during February 2015 against the set target of Rs 2.298 billion with an increase of Rs 616.38 million.

It also collected Rs 86.88 million in share of FED against the set target of Rs 104.74 million with a decrease of Rs 17.86 million.

Furthermore, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 17.885 billion during January 2015 against the set target of Rs 18.991 billion.

An amount of Rs 5.918 billion was collected as customs duty against the set target of Rs 5.884 billion with an increase of Rs 34.71 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 8.820 billion in share of sales tax in January 2015 against the set target of Rs 9.992 billion with a decrease of Rs 1.172 billion.

The Appraisement-East collected Rs 3.028 billion under the head of income tax in January 2015 against the set target of Rs 2.948 billion with an increase of Rs 79.36 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 119.09 million as federal excise duty in January 2015 against the set target of Rs 166.34 million with a decrease of Rs 47.25 million.
