Appraisement-East collects Rs 54.17b against Rs 52.95b target in Q2

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) of Appraisement-East collected Rs 54177.58 million in the second quarter (Oct to Dec 2014) of the fiscal year 2014-15 in terms of customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal excise duty against the set target of Rs 52956.15 million with an increase of Rs 1221.43 million.

According to statistics, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 18315.97 million customs duty, sales tax, income tax and FED in December 2014 against the set target of Rs 16091.23 million with an increase of Rs 2224.74 million.

The Appraisement-East collected Rs 5094.69 million customs duty against the set target of Rs 5042.93 million in December 2014 with an increase of Rs 51.76 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 10199.32 million sales tax in Dec 2014 against the set target of Rs 8495.85 million with an increase of Rs 1703.47 million.

The Appraisement-East collected Rs 2965.24 million income tax in Dec 2014 against the set target of Rs 2454.23 million with an increase of Rs 511.01 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 56.72 million in December 2014 against the set target of Rs 98.22 million FED with a shortfall of Rs 41.50 million.

Similarly, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 17635.45 million in November 2014 against the set target of Rs 18051.51 million with a slight shortfall of Rs 416.06 million under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, federal excise duty and withholding tax.

As per the revenue statistics, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 4938.12 million customs duty against target of Rs 4787.22 million with an increase of Rs 150.90 million.

The Appraisement-East collected Rs 9674.90 million sales tax in Nov 2014 against its set target of Rs 10229.98 million with a shortfall of Rs 555.08 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 109.85 million FED in Nov against its set target of Rs 64.27 million with an increase of Rs 45.58 million.

The Appraisement-East collected Rs 2912.62 million in share of withholding tax (WHT) in Nov 2014 against its set target of Rs 2970.04 million with a shortfall of Rs 57.42 million.

Likewise, the collectorate collected Rs 18226.16 million in October 2014 under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, federal excise duty and withholding tax.

According to details, the Appraisement-East collected overall revenue of Rs 18226.16 million in October 2014 against its target of Rs 18813.41 million with a slight shortfall of Rs 587.25 million.

As per the revenue statistics, the Appraisement-East collected Rs 4964.36 million customs duty against its target of Rs 4802.45 million with an increase of Rs 161.91 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 9965.69 million sales tax in Oct against its set target of Rs 10535.66 million with a shortfall of Rs 569.97 million.

The Appraisement-East collected Rs 76.64 million FED in Oct against its set target of Rs 170.43 million with a shortfall of Rs 93.79 million.

The collectorate collected Rs 3219.47 million withholding tax in Oct against its set target of Rs 3304.87 million with a shortfall of Rs 85.40million.

The authorities concerned of Appraisement-East have forwarded the revenue collection figures to the Federal Board of Revenue Headquarters.
