Appraisement-East collects Rs 6.5b during Dec 1-10

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement-East has collected Rs 6.5 billion revenue during the first 10 days of December, depicting an increase of almost 49 percent over the same period last year.

The collectorate collected total revenue of Rs 6,566 million during the period under discussion. This included Rs 1,824 million under the head of customs duty, Rs 3,616 million sales tax, Rs 1,108 million withholding tax and Rs 18 million federal excise duty.

The collectorate has achieved 36.2 percent, 42.6 percent, 45.2 percent and 17.9 percent of customs duty, sales tax, withholding tax and federal excise duty respectively.

The revenue collected during 10 days has exceeded Rs 4,420 million revenue the collectorate had collected during the corresponding period in 2013 by Rs 2,146 million or over 48 percent.

During December 1-10 last year, the collectorate collected Rs 1,202 customs duty, Rs 2,431 million sales tax, Rs 778 million withholding tax and Rs 9 million federal excise duty.
