Appraisement East generates Rs 36,328m revenue in December

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate of Appraisement East has generated Rs 36,328 million customs duty, sales tax, income tax and federal exercise duty during the month of December 2017.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Appraisement East collected Rs 15,670 million customs duty, Rs 15,275 million sales tax, Rs 5,270 million income tax and Rs 113 million federal excise duty in December.

Earlier in December 2016, the Customs Collectorate of Appraisement East generated Rs 35,439 million which included Rs 17, 237 million customs duties, Rs 13,823 million sales tax, Rs 4,271 million income tax and Rs 108 million federal excise duty.

It is necessary to mention here that it’s not a big difference if we compare December 2017 and December 2016. Sources said Collector of Appraisement East Asshad Jawwad said we are hopeful to achieve the target and in the end of fiscal year we will get our target, our department is continuing straggle about collection.
