Appraisement East invites tenders to buy furniture for Collectorate‏

KARACHI: Customs Collectorate of Appraisement East, Custom House, Karachi has invited tenders from well reputed manufacturers, dealers, suppliers and firms/contractors duly registered with sales tax and income tax department to purchase office furniture. The bids are invited to provide office furniture, work stations and chairs, tables and sofas.

According to Deputy Collector Headquarters, Appraisement East, Shah Faisal Sahu, the tender documents can be obtained from the administration branch of Appraisement East, Custom House, Karachi on cash payment of Rs 1,000 during office hours on or before 19.2.2016.

The offer must contain financial impact, technical solution and after sale services to be offered by the bidder.

The price offered will include all duties and taxes and the expenses incurred on supplies including transportation, shipping, installation etc where required, he added.

Bidders are required to furnish a security deposit equivalent to 5 percent of their offer in the shape of pay order or demand draft from a scheduled bank in favor of Collector, Appraisement East, Custom House, Karachi as guarantee for satisfactory performance of the tender obligation.

If a bidder fails in the performance of his/her tender obligation, the security deposit shall be forfeited, without any liability on the part of Collector, Appraisement East, Custom House Karachi. The security deposit will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders, the deputy collector elaborated.

The bidders are required to provide proof of Sales Tax Registration and NTN from the departments concerned.

The successful bidder shall provide the supply of above mentioned goods within two week days of acceptance of tender and issuance of purchase/work order in this regard.

In case the bidder fails to supply the goods as per laid down terms and conditions, the earnest money shall be forfeited without any further notice and the purchase/work order shall stand cancelled.

The Collector, Appraisement East, Custom House shall be free to award this tender to some other party (bidder). The Collector, Appraisement East may reject or accept any offer.

Sealed bids on the prescribed tender document must be delivered on 19.2.2016 before 3pm and the same shall be opened at 4pm on the same day in the presence of participants of the tender or their authorized representatives who desired to attend, the DC concluded.
