KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement East, in its proposal for the federal budget 2017-18, has recommended certain changes in Customs Rules and several SROs.
The government imposed 50 percent regulatory duty on new vehicles above 1800cc through amending SRO 1190(I)/2015, whereas 60 percent duty was imposed on old and used vehicles of same engine capacity. The Appraisement East suggested the same rate of 60 per cent regulatory duty on new vehicles, which is applicable on old and used vehicles.
