Appraisement-East recovers Rs 2.11 from K-Electric by applying correct PCT

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Appraisement-East has recovered nearly Rs 2.1 million from K. Electric as extra duty by applying correct PCT code.

According to the details, K-Electric under Goods Declaration (GD) No KAPE-HC-94131 dated 06-02-2015 paid Rs 4.44 million tax on the import of consignment.

While auditing the documents, customs authorities found that actual amount of taxes is Rs 6.55 million by imposing the correct PCT heading.

K-Electric had paid Rs 4.44 million by evading tax of Rs 2.1 million and now customs has recovered the evaded amount and deposited to national exchequer.
