The media officer of Customs Preventive Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) Syed Irfan Ali informed Custom Today that the attempt to foil mis-declaration is done under the directive of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to keep an eagle eye over the imported goods and to unearth any attempt that causes loss to the economy of the country.

The culprits involved in the heinous crime of mis-declaration tried to evade duty and taxes worth six millions of rupees which Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Appraisement East managed to unearth in a quick response and acting over the directives of the higher authorities, added the officer.
