KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorates Appraisement East and West wore a deserted look as the Web Based One Customs (WeBOC) module became dysfunctional on Monday morning.
The collectorates, which usually see rush of importers/clearing agents and exporters, gave a deserted look while most of the officials also preferred to leave their offices early.
The WeBCO system is not working therefore not a single GD is filed in both the Collectorates since yesterday evening, official sources disclosed. Due to the disturbance in the system many traders were facing the problems about filed their GDs.
According to sources, WeBOC has developed some software issues which are being rectified and hopefully the system would resume its functioning shortly.
It is recalled here that the WeBOC was shutdown in April this year following the replacement work of the computers hard drives, suspending the import clearance work at both the collectorates.
