LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Appraisement surpassed the revenue target of customs duty for the month of February, 2019 by collecting Rs3547 million as against the assigned target of Rs3454 million thus registering a growth of 34 percent compared to revenue collection of Rs2441 million during the corresponding month of last financial year.
Sources told Customs Today that Collector Amjadur Rehman held a meeting on 28.2.2019 at Mughalpura Dry Port Lahore in which all additional collectors and deputy/assistant collectors participated.
The collector expressed his satisfaction over on achievement of overall revenue target and over performance of the officers and officials of the Collectorate. Collector emphasized that special efforts for revenue collection through administrative measures will continue to future too. He reiterated that all possible measures will be taken to facilitate trade and reduce the clearance time.
