Appraisement (West) collects Rs321m additional customs duty

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate of Appraisement (West) headed by Collector Muhammad Saleem has collected total revenue of Rs 18100.96 million in share of Customs Duty (CD), Sales Tax (ST), Income Tax (IT) and Federal Excise Duty (FED) in the month of August-2014 with an increase of Rs 1380.28 million as compared to July 2014.

According to statistics, the MCC-Appraisement (West) has collected revenue of Rs 6203.34 million in share of Customs Duty with an increase of Rs 321.11 million, as the Collectorate had collected revenue of Rs 5882.23 million in the same share in July 2014.

The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 8530.17 million in share of Sales Tax with an increase of Rs 861.87 million as compare with the collection of Sales tax in the month of July.

The MCC-Appraisement (West) has collected revenue of Rs 3230.74 million in share of Income tax with an increase of Rs 164.65 million in comparison of the collection in the same head in the month of July 2014.

The Collectorate has collected an amount of Rs 136.71 million in share of Federal Excise Duty (FED) in the month of August 2014 with an increase of Rs 32.65 million as compared to the revenue collection in the head of FED in the month of July, as the Collectorate had collected Rs 104.06 million in share of FED in previous month.

It is pertinent to mention here that the FBR has not yet set any revenue target after passing two months of the fiscal year 2014-15.
