Appraisement West generates Rs23.457b revenue in Aug

KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate of Appraisement West could not achieve target of August as it collected Rs681 million less revenue than the assigned target.

The Collectorate collected Rs9.664 billion customs duty in the August of current fiscal year than the previous year’s same month’s Rs10.345 billion collection.

The data shows that the Appraisement West overall generated Rs23.457 billion, in which it collected Rs9.664 billion sales tax, Rs3.866 billion income tax and Rs160 million as federal excise duty.

The Collectorate generated overall Rs45.412 billion revenue during the first two months of ongoing fiscal year (2017-18). It collected Rs18.281 billion customs duty, Rs19.107 billion sales tax, Rs7.742 billion income tax and Rs282 million federal excise duty during the corresponding months.
