Appraisement-West lodges FIR against Dua Enterprises and others

KARACHI: Customs Appraisement West has lodged an FIR against M/s Dua Enterprises, M/s Friends Logistics and others for attempting to import and clear fireworks/explosive in the garb of other miscellaneous goods.

M/s Dua Enterprises imported a consignment from China and sought transshipment (TP) declaring the goods to be tiles, tissue paper, razor wire and mosquito coil. M/s Friends Logistics a licensed bonded carrier assumed the responsibility for transshipment to Lahore dry port.

Meanwhile, Operations Manager of M/s Friends Logistics Mohammad Pervez Bashir lodged a report with Docks Police Station Karachi that the vehicle given to driver Mohammad Bilal had been hijacked with the connivance of importer, driver and Umer Shinwary.

Peshawar Police found the vehicle and found the container to be stuffed with fireworks and explosive material.
