APTMA delegation meets LTU Chief Commissioner Ch Safdar

LAHORE: A delegation of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) met the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) chief commissioner to discuss tax related issues of textile sector.

Sources said that meeting remained positive and APTMA showed confidence over the LTU Lahore Chief Commissioner Chaudhry Safdar as he assured the delegation that all reservations of the taxpayers would be resolved on priority basis. Sources informed that the issue of refund cases was also discussed in the meeting along with various issues of tax.

Sources also informed that LTU Lahore has few cases of the textile sector almost 55and it was offered to the delegation that if they have any complaint regarding these taxpayers, LTU will resolve it.

LTU Lahore Chief Commissioner Chaudhry Safdar, three commissioners and Additional Commissioner Headquarters Aftab Alam attended the meeting, while APTMA Secretary Punjab Region Anisul Haq along with other members met the LTU officials.

Sources also informed that mostly refunds of the textile sector have been cleared and remaining refunds were in pipeline that will be paid soon. They also said that it was light meeting and various issues were discussed during meeting.

APTMA delegation also met with the authorities of the Regional Tax office Lahore and presented their reservations regarding the refunds before the officials.
