TOKYO: Popular Invasion mode, first made famous in Halo: Reach, won’t be making a return appearance in Halo 5: Guardians.
Studio head of 343 Industries, Josh Holmes, confirmed today that the development team is focusing on bigger and better concepts. Responding to a query about the mode’s inclusion on the Team Beyond forums, Holmes stated “No Invasion but more to come on larger scale MP. Stay tuned!”
Invasion was a 6v6 competitive multiplayer mode, in which a team of Spartans fought a team of Elites in the hope of destroying their power cores.
Halo 5: Guardians releases on October 27, 2015 for Xbox One.
