BUENOS AIRES: The Buenos Aires city archbishop and Argentine Cardinal Mario Poli has warned about the lack of commitment to fight drug trafficking in the country, during the mass to celebrate San Cayetano.
“These days we can hear, again, speak about the war against drugs, about casualties, security operations and police forces,” he said.
“It is true that we have legislation and we have to trust the judiciary. But God cannot be merciful when we condemn a drug lord and he leaves prison immediately,” he added.
“Political campaigns are over now. And we don’t even know what we want to do with this issue. We don’t even know what project we can put forward to help everyone,” he concluded.
