BUENOS AIRES: The government was expected to resume talks with representatives of 60 Bus Line workers as drivers threatened to block the Panamericana highway.
On Thursday, Labour Minsiter Carlos Tomada met with workers with talks expected to be resumed.
After meeting, representative Iván Iza told media there had been “no concrete answer” although he considered drivers welcomed the fact that Tomada received them and listened to their demands.
The meeting, which will be resuming tomorrow, is an attempt to solve the ongoing conflict between the bus drivers and Monsa SA, which started a month ago.
Drivers accuse Monsa of firing 53 workers. Meanwhile, the firm denies the allegations, assuring no employee has been fired since January 1.
