BUENOS AIRES: The increase of the 28.5 percent in the minimum wage has been published in the official gazette following the agreement reached earlier by the government, union leaders and business representatives.
The resolution by the National Council of Employment, Productivity and Minimum Wage was published in the official gazette, taking salaries to 5,588 pesos as for August 1 and to 6,060 pesos starting in January next year.
In this resolution, the government said “measures that tend to sustain and improve the level of production and employment and the consistent impact in a better wealth distribution” were needed, praising the “strengthening of social dialogue and the democratic culture in the field of labour relations.”
